Who am I

West-coast based IT Support Specialist with 4+ years of hands-on experience in complex hardware/software environments, hybrid AV systems, and large-scale event tech. At Discord, I led satellite office setups, overhauled meeting rooms into seamless Discord-first hybrid spaces, and supported major events like GDC. Passionate about practical tech solutions, from emergency radio comms to self-hosted ‘homelabbing’, I thrive on turning complex problems into efficient, user-friendly results. Work and play go hand in hand, and I’m always looking for opportunities to drive impact through direct applications and team collaboration.

What I Do

IT can be an ambiguous term depending on where you are, and I've found that there are countless unique (and fun) areas for IT professionals to show their skills in situation assessment, problem solving, and their ability to communicate complex topics to users. Some personal examples of these areas are:
- Led full IT setup for Discord’s Amsterdam satellite office (hardware, networking, user support)
- Designed and implemented hybrid meeting rooms with custom “Discord-first” AV configurations for seamless in-person/remote collaboration
- Provided end-to-end tech support for major events including GDC, including live multi-stream production and post-event deliverables
- Extensive hands-on hardware diagnostics, repairs, and asset management across Mac, Windows, ChromeOS, and specialized equipment
Most people think radio simply is the old way to listen to music or how their grandparents got news. I’ve worked to reach a level of understanding that explains how everything wireless today is based on radio and from that fundamental understanding I’ve been able to utilize and educate others on the importance of wireless communications systems as a whole; Both their strengths and their limitations.

- Licensed Amateur Radio Operator (KN6ZJX) specializing in emergency/off-grid comms, mesh networks, and event support
- Deep knowledge of cellular, satellite, and traditional radio systems — including real-world deployment for remote factories and public safety exercises
Passions are the driving fields for self development and adventure. My passions are even more varied than my profession; here’s the main areas I currently have projects being pursued for research & discovery.
